Project Engineer / Project Manager

CTG Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Manager to manage our professional staff on gas turbine based power and industrial projects.  The qualified candidate will have experience with managing a multi-discipline engineering team on projects based on natural gas, LFO and MFO as fuels.  The projects will include the engineering, capital equipment procurement, construction and start-up of the facilities.  Experience in the renewable energy sector with solid fuel projects is a plus.  Key attributes for the successful candidate will include:

  • Management and detailed coordination of a multi-discipline engineering and design team
  • An understanding of gas turbine based projects in simple and combined cycle configurations
  • Demonstrated experience with the management of Engineering and interface with construction
  • Experience with multiple project delivery methods
  • Ability to manage multiple smaller projects ongoing concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability in the management of the client, end user or owner of the project
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a professional team in a strong project environment where the ability to manage competing priorities will be important
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interface with the client, plant owner
  • The position will be based in Auburn, Alabama and will require 20-30/% travel
  • BS Engineering preferred and Professional Engineer registration is a plus
  • Current passport and ability to travel internationally is required

Applications Engineer

CTG Engineering is seeking an Applications Engineer to work with our Engineering and Business Development teams in our Auburn, Alabama office.  The successful candidate will manage technical proposals for global power plant projects.  The following are required for this position:

  • Experience in the power industry developing technical proposals
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating an engineering team to support technical proposals
  • Experience in working with customers at the executive level during commercial and technical negotiations.
  • BS Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 years experience
  • The position will be based in Auburn, AL and will require 20-30% travel
  • Current passport and ability to travel internationally is required
  • Professional Engineering registration is a plus

Mechanical Engineer

CTG Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Auburn, Alabama office. The Mechanical Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplined engineering company providing design services for the power industry on domestic and international projects.   Key attributes for the successful candidate will include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of heavy industrial and power related projects.
  • Experience with the specification and evaluation of diverse range of mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, tanks, turbines, water treatment systems, etc.
  • Experience with creating process flow diagrams and P&ID’s for industrial processes.
  • Experience in the design of both simple cycle and combined cycle power plants.
  • A desire to work with other disciplines (I&C, Electrical, Civil/Structural) as one team is critical.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload within multiple concurrent projects.
  • Professional Engineering registration with the ability to register in multiple states is required
  • The position will be based in Auburn, Alabama and 10-15% travel may be required.
